LEEDS United are continuing to be linked with a host of players in the 2021 summer transfer window which has now been open for two and a half weeks.

United's 2021-22 Premier League campaign will begin with a clash against arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford in a lunch-time kick-off on Saturday, August 14.

The Whites will be looking to kick on after last season's fantastic ninth-placed finish upon their first season back in the country's top flight after a 16-year absence.

Talks intensify to sign Brazilian forward

Brazilian outlet UOL claim that talks are intensifying for Leeds United to sign 22-year-old Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Hertha Berlin.

UOL claim that Leeds will make an 'extra effort' to sign Cunha at Whites head coach Marcelo Bielsa s request and quote a price of between 25 and 30 million euros.

Hertha Berlin signed Cunha from RB Leipzig in 2020 and the Brazilian is contracted at the club until 2025.

Cunha has been capped 16 times by Brazil's under-23s - scoring 15 goals - and he is on the squad list for the side set to compete at this summer's Olympics.
