United's record appearance holder Charlton passed away aged 85 on Friday after a long-term illness and Leeds and Swansea paid their respects to the 1966 England World Cup winner before Sunday's Championship clash at Swansea.
After a minute's silence and then applause in Charlton's memory, the contest looked destined to end in a goalless draw until Spanish magician Hernandez bagged an 89th-minute winner to seal a dramatic 1-0 victory.

Even if second-placed West Brom and third-placed Brentford win all of their remaining games, four points from United's final three fixtures will guarantee United automatic promotion and top flight football for the first time since 2004.
It was in English football's First Division that Charlton excelled, helping the club become champions of England and also instrumental as Leeds sealed two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups, an FA Cup, League Cup and Charity Shield.
Modern day great Hernandez said everyone connected with Leeds United Football Club would always remember Charlton who Hernandez said would now be firmly with the Whites in spirit for their final three games.

"He is part of the history of this club and I think these three points are for everybody and for the fans but especially for him and for his memory.
"I am sure he will help us in the next week's games from the sky and this win is for him."
