Atkinson's heroics keep Guiseley in the FA Cup
Guiseley entered the game on the back of two victories in the league and they showed good defensive work early on, Jake Muldoon was well placed after build-up play by the home attackers but Jake Lawlor was able to get his body in the way and made a good interception.
Striker Matt Rhead was then denied excellently by goalkeeper Dan Atkinson from point-blank range who in recent weeks has been on the bench, but he put in a fine display that gives manager Adam Lockwood some serious questions to answer as to whether he will replace Jonny Maxted who was unavailable due to being at the club on loan from Forest Green Rovers.

Luke Waterfall came the closest to scoring when his effort from distance took a deflection and hit the crossbar, with many of the home support thinking the ball had gone in.
Harry Anderson then looked bound to score but Atkinson once again put himself in the right place to make a save this time stopping it with his feet.
Theo Robinson then had an attempt that he just could not get on target, Guiseley again able to shut out the Lincoln attack.
