YEP Says: A celebration of Jane's life is such a good cause
It should be no surprise that almost a decade after she inspired the Leeds 10K, it is still going strong as an important event in the social and charity calendar of Leeds.
The 2016 Run for All’s Asda Foundation event was an emotional milestone, not only for Jane’s family but for the ‘family’ of Leeds.
Jane’s daughter Suzanne was among the runners yesterday.

Hide AdAnd Jane’s grandaughter – Suzanne’s daughter – Emily, nine, took part in the junior event on Saturday.
With such family support, don’t be surprised if this event continues to blossom.
“I still can’t believe this is the 10th event, it’s quite emotional but amazing to see,” Suzanne said.
The event was supported by the great and the good of Leeds – Lord Mayor Coun Gerry Harper, model Nell McAndrew, former Leeds Rhinos star Kevin Sinfield and Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick – as well as thousands of ordinary folk.

Hide AdJane raised £1.8m with a series of challenges before her death from cancer aged 43 in 2007. The Leeds 10K is just one of a string of running events that have continued to be held in her memory.
With such support, this event will run and run. It certainly deserves to succeed.
