Hide AdDr Andy Harris, clinical chief officer at NHS Leeds South and East CCG, said: “As a GP, I see first hand how important it is to get people talking about mental health. Not only is it the first step to making sure people get the right support if they need it, but often it can help catch problems before they develop.
“Mental health is just as important as physical health and we need to feel comfortable talking about it with our family, friends and colleagues.”
We want to raise awareness of mental issues, so share your personal experiences about mental health with us and get involved by using the hashtag on social media.
Coun Rebecca Charlwood, chairwoman of Leeds City Council’s health and wellbeing board: “We welcome the Yorkshire Evening Post’s campaign which chimes with our vision of Leeds as a compassionate city, where the we are committed to reducing health inequalities.”
