A man found unconscious on a main road in Pudsey was 77 years old, police have confirmed.

West Yorkshire Police were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to Swinnow Lane just after 3pm on Sunday.

The road was closed while paramedics administered emergency treatment.

The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
