One Clarence Dock resident told the Yorkshire Evening Post a number of cars started to pull up and rev their engines on Chadwick Street at around 5.30pm.
The resident claimed hundreds of guests of a wedding party started 'having a massive party in the street' later in the evening.
She claimed they set off fireworks in the road - 'metres away from buildings deemed as highly flammable due to cladding'.

Video footage provided to the YEP shows fireworks being let off as a number of people watched on the street.
The resident told the YEP: "It was quite scary for residents.
"We’ve been told our buildings have flammable cladding on them to the point that we have to pay for fire wardens to patrol the buildings 24 hours a day.
