Ross McCormack bagged a brace against Crystal Palace at Elland Road in September 2011 to help the Whites secure three points which took them to 12th in the table after a stuttering start to the season. The victory helped divert focus away from the off-field unrest over a perceived lack of investment from Ken Bates which had overshadowed the club's start to season.
