Guiseley Post Office closed due to Covid staffing issues

Guiseley Post Office on Oxford Road has a sign on the door to customers.
The sign reads: "Branch closed due to Covid.
"Expected date to open Jan 18.
"Sorry for any inconvenience."
Royal Mail has published a list of 28 areas suffering from limited delivery services as more of its workforce is affected by Covid-19.

Hide AdThe zones – comprising 27 in England and one in Northern Ireland – are no longer receiving regular post because of the high numbers of Royal Mail staff who are either off sick or self-isolating.
The affected areas include 13 in or near London, while others include Leeds in West Yorkshire, Chelmsford in Essex, Widnes in Cheshire and Margate in Kent.
In response to the closure of the Guiseley store, a Royal Mail spokesperson said: "Guiseley Post Office is temporarily closed due to staffing issues caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"In the meantime, alternative branches include Yeadon, Esholt and Menston. It is hoped that the branch will reopen on 18 January.”
