Man charged after police recover £50,000 of cannabis following Beeston home raid

Police searched the house on Wednesday under the misuse of drugs act.
Officers have since given an update that approximately £50,000 of cannabis has been recovered.

Hide AdOne male adult has been charged with growing cannabis under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
He is set to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Friday, February 5.
The West Yorkshire Police Leeds South team tweeted the update and said: "*UPDATE ON DRUGS WARRANT 03/02/21*
"1 adult male has been charged and remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Friday 5th February.
"Approximately £50,000 of cannabis has been recovered.

In an initial post on social media on Wednesday, police thanked local residents for supplying them with the intelligence on this house and helping to tackle criminality.
They also posted a video of officers breaking down the door in the raid on the house.
The post on Wednesday said: "NPT officers have executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act this evening in the Beeston area.
"On entry a cannabis farm was found.
