Gang of machete and spade wielding men flee Leeds street in 'multiple vehicles' after man attacked

At 8.16pm last night (Mar 1), police received a report of a disturbance at an address in Northfield Place, Rothwell, involving a group of males armed with weapons, described as spades and machetes.
A man was assaulted in the street during the incident but was not seriously injured, police said.

Hide AdThe group of suspects left the scene in a number of vehicles.
Scenes were put in place in the area to undergo searches and were removed shortly after 6am this morning, police confirmed.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and identify those involved.
