Police launch witness appeal after 74-year-old man died in West Yorkshire crash

Officers were called to Penistone Road in Birdsedge, Kirklees at 4.46pm yesterday afternoon to reports of a two vehicle crash.
It’s understood the driver of the Mazda 6 - a 74-year-old man - had a medical episode at the wheel.

The 74 year old died at the scene.
No one else was injured, police confirmed.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the Mazda 6 driving on the A629 prior to the collision and particularly any witnesses with dashcam footage.
