Driver who stopped in live M62 lane to change tyre slammed by motorway officer
and live on Freeview channel 276
The driver stopped on Friday night (May 21) as he had a flat offside tyre.
However, he was just 300 yards from safety, motorway officer Martin Willis said.

Hide AdThe officer urged other drivers in a similar situation to reduce their speed, put their hazard lights on and get to a refuge area.

PC Willis tweeted: "The driver of this vehicle stopped in a live lane as he had a flat offside tyre and then attempted to change it, 300 yards from safety.
"If you get a flat on an all lane running motorway, reduce speed, put hazards on and get to a refuge area!
"A wheel can be replaced, you can't!!"
