The club's story on and off the pitch reads like a film script for a generation of Leeds United fans who remember the Whites falling through the trapdoor back in the spring of 2004. And it is a journey which has certainly has not been a boring one up right up to Marcelo Biesla leading the Whites back to the promised land. Fans have endured the best of times and the worst of times a merry-go-round of managers, relegation to the third tier of football, promotion back to the Championship, -15 points, FA Cup glory at Old Trafford. And you can add play-off final heartache twice as well as deadline day confusion, dodgy signings and nights to remember at Elland Road. These photos showcase the hope, ambition, despair and joy of what it has been like to be a Leeds fan in recent years. READ MORE: The ups and downs of Leeds United's Elland Road down the decades
