The Argentine has performed a transformative job since he took over at Leeds United in 2018, revitalising the club on and off the pitch.
Guiding the Whites back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence, while also helping to engender an optimism that had been missing for far too long at Elland Road, El Loco is, undeniably, a hero.
But for all of the material success that has come, the true hallmark of this Bielsa side is the entertainment value that they offer.
Whether it be relentless attacking displays that bully teams into submission, or a never-say-die attitude that leads to late drama time and time again, there are few sides in the English game who can match Leeds when it comes to getting pulses racing.
The boss celebrated his 100th league game in charge against Crystal Palace on Saturday, and we’ve counted down the 13 most thrilling matches from his first century.
1. Leeds United 4-1 Derby County, August 2018
Only Bielsa's second game in charge, the Argentine saw his side put the Rams to the sword in the first of many heated clashes that season. The Whites may have beaten Stoke City on the opening day, and there would be bigger wins than this as the season went on, but this was the first time that the club topped the table under the new boss, and it was enough to really get the fanbase believing in El Loco's project. 2. Leeds United 2-1 Luton Town, November 2019
Marcelo Bielsa and late winners go together like bread and butter or fish and chips. In fact, the Argentine has had so many last gasp victories as Leeds manager that this effort - a 90th minute own goal to settle a surprisingly tight affair and keep the Whites in race for automatic promotion - almost doesn't register compared to some of the more memorable moments on this countdown. Make no mistake though, this was a cracker that sent fans everywhere absolutely wild at the time. (Photo by Oli Scarff - Pool/Getty Images) Photo: Pool
3. Leeds United 5-0 Stoke City
The most comprehensive win of Bielsa's time at the club to date, Leeds tore the Potters limb from limb at Elland Road in July to once again prove that they were the most fearsome attacking outfit in the Championship. 1-0 up at the break, the Whites turned on the afterburners in the second-half with a dazzling display. Stoke had no answer, and the massive scoreline put the club to within touching distance of a long-awaited top flight return. (Photo by George Wood/Getty Images) Photo: George Wood
4. Leeds United 3-2 Millwall, March 2019
Bielsa enjoyed mixed fortunes against the Lions during his time in the Championship, but whatever the outcome, there was rarely a dull moment in those clashes. Back in March 2019, El Loco saw his side come from behind twice to take all three points from their visitors, with Pablo Hernandez popping up with an 83rd minute winner to snatch it for the Whites. 5. Leeds 1-0 Derby County, May 2019.
We all know how this one eventually ended, but after the Championship play-off semi-final first leg at Pride Park last year, hopes were sky high around Elland Road. Even now, it's hard to properly get your head around what went wrong for Leeds in the reverse fixture a few days later, but at the time, with a slender lead and a home tie to come, this was certainly the most promising moment of Bielsa's tenure up to that point. 6. Leeds United 4-3 Fulham, September 2020
A first Premier League win in over a decade-and-a-half, and what a way to seal it. There were seven goals split between the two newly-promoted sides in a topsy-turvy affair where the momentum seemed to lurch back and forth across the 90 minutes. In the end Leeds had just enough about them to hang on and hand Bielsa his first taste of English top flight success. (Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images) Photo: Laurence Griffiths
