Colchester U21s 1-2 Leeds United U21s highlights: Whites fight back to all but clinch knockout spot after red
Tonight's Premier League Cup fixture between hosts Colchester and Leeds takes place at the Wallace Binder Stadium in Essex, home of Maldon and Tiptree Football Club. The U's youngsters have already faced Leeds' 21s this season, losing out 3-2 to then-coach Michael Skubala's side at York City's LNER Community Stadium back in September.
Goals from Darko Gyabi, Lewis Bate and Sean McGurk ensured the Whites took all three points from their opening fixture in this year's PL Cup, which was followed up by a 4-1 victory over Luton Town - also in York.

Leeds currently sit second in the standings, three points ahead of tonight's opponents, but are expected to be without striker and talisman Mateo Joseph who missed last week's PL International Cup defeat to Sparta Praha due to involvement with the senior squad.
Joseph is likely to travel with Daniel Farke's group to the Stadium of Light this evening ahead of tomorrow night's Championship fixture against Sunderland.
Team news, build-up, goal and score updates from Leeds' latest PL Cup outing will be right here throughout the evening. Kick-off is at 7pm.

FT: Colchester 1-2 Leeds
Leeds all but qualified for the PL Cup knockouts after tonight's win. Three wins from four matches so far. Youngsters can't be caught unless Luton - currently on zero points - win all three of their remaining fixtures. Goals: Monteiro 79', Snowdon 90+6'
GOOOOOALLLLLLLL 2-1 SNOWDON!
90+6' Is there a better time to score a goal? Joe Snowdon seals the win for Leeds with a cool, swept finish from 12 yards after meeting Charlie Allen's cutback. Northern Irish youngster did well to get to the byline at such a late stage and finally, one of the game's cutbacks is converted.
Opportunities
90+1' Pinball in the Colchester area. Bate, Thomas, McGurk combine as the U's clear one off the line. Bate then recycles it down the right-hand side of the box, Allen cuts it back but Colchester get rid once again.
Probing
81' Allen buys a yard on the right after an incisive Leeds move forward. Shoots and claims it took a touch, but it's high.
GOOOOALLLL! Leeds draw level 1-1
79' McGurk's free-kick goes all the way through. Monteiro perhaps with a touch on the way in. Level.
SENT OFF
74' RED! Ronny Nelson sent off for Colchester. High and late challenge on Connor Ferguson who was running at speed and was quick to his feet to give the U's defender what for. Referee gives him his marching orders.
Lacking their usual frontman
70' Leeds definitely having the better of the second half, playing with more urgency and purpose but lacking a more streetwise presence up top against some big-bodied defensive players.
