Leeds bus diversions: Boost to city services as Kirkstall Road and Wellington Street reopen after emergency repairs

The repairs at the junction where Kirkstall Road connects to Wellington Street on the approach to the city has been causing traffic chaos this week.
Bus services this week have reported delays of up to 45 minutes as a result of the emergency works with a separate issue at Armley Road putting additional strain on the traffic network.

Hide AdThe council has advised that the Armley Road gas works have now been completed with West Street Gyratory due to reopen this weekend.
Other disruptions this week include Church Lane in Garforth which is expected to be shut until Friday (October 28).
Service 163 will be diverted via Kippax Lane End and Lidget Lane with the 175 diversion still to be advised.
Meanwhile Regent Street remains closed overnight (8pm to 5.30am) until further notice. Service 42 will divert via Eastgate, St Peter’s Street, Duke Street, Marsh Lane, Burmantofts Street and Beckett Street while service X99 will divert via Vicar Lane, North Street and Roundhay Road.
