'Glad to be going home': Leeds resident speaks of relief at catching 'last plane home' from Las Palmas to Leeds Bradford Airport

A Leeds woman has described her relief at being able to return to Leeds Bradford Airport - after catching the 'last flight' back from Las Palmas.

Flights have been cancelled to Spain and surrounding islands by Jet2 this morning.

Rachael Edeson was on holiday in Gran Canaria when she discovered the cancellations.

Her flight was due to fly shortly after 2pm but was delayed by over two hours before it set off at around 4pm today.
