The majority of houses on Stone Brig Lane in Rothwell have been festooned with elaborate Christmas lights this year as part of a charity fundraising drive.
The Stone Brig Lights event has been running for several years and brings residents of the suburban street together with a common cause.

Thousands of visitors descend on the road for the festive ‘drive-by’ entertainment each year.
This year, the Stone Brig Lane team are raising money for two local charities - the Tea Cosy Memory Cafe in Rothwell, which supports people with dementia, and Candlelighters, a children’s cancer appeal.
They have set themselves a target of £1,000 and have so far collected over £400 on their Justgiving page.

The lights are switched on at 4.30pm every evening and remain illuminated until 10pm.
