Murder investigation launched after man stabbed in south Leeds

Police have launched a murder enquiry after a man was stabbed in south Leeds.

Officers were called to an address on Dewsbury Road, near the junction with Burton Avenue, to reports of a man having been stabbed.

A man aged 40 was taken to hospital.

He has since died.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1299 of today (Thursday December 12)."
