Man and youth plead guilty to violent disorder over crowd trouble at Leeds United match

Warren Miles pleaded guilty to the charge at a hearing at Leeds Crown Court yesterday (July 22).
Miles, of Hopwood Grove, Birmingham, will be sentenced on September 4 after the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Hide AdA 17-year-old male, who cannot be identified, pleaded guilty to the same offence and will also be sentenced on September 4.
He was 16 at the time of the offence.
Judge Andrew Stubbs QC told both defendants that all sentencing options remain open, including custody.
The pair are among 28 people to be charged with the offence following crowd trouble outside Elland Road on October 28, 2019.
The incident occurred after Leeds' 1-0 Championship victory at home against Birmingham.
Operation Bandshot, an investigation by detectives from Leeds District CID, identified and traced those charged following a number of public appeals in relation to the incidents.
