Armed police were called to reports of a man making threats with a gun on an estate in Leeds.

Firearms officers rushed to the Cottingley estate yesterday afternoon after a resident of Dulverton Green called police at about 4.10pm.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody.

A BB gun was recovered at the scene, which remained on lockdown overnight for further investigations.
