There was major disruption in Leeds on Thursday as a suspicious package sparked road closures in the city centre.

Police were called to reports of a suspicious item at a building in the Queen Street area at about 11am.

The bomb squad were called in and neighbouring buildings on Park Place and King Street were evacuated - with police closing a large area around the scene.
