Bring Christmas magic to life in our children's festive story competition
The Yorkshire Evening Post is asking children aged 16 and under to write a 250-word cracking Christmas story.
And there is £50 gift card for the Trinity Leeds shopping centre for the best festive tale with a twist – plus the chance to see your work in print.

The story should start with these paragraphs, which are not included in the word count.
“Rosie snuggled up in her bed when she suddenly heard a noise, could it really be Father Christmas, she thought? She looked out of the window...”
The competition, like our spooky story contest at Halloween, has proved very popular in the past.

And now, as we approach Christmas, we are once again urging schools, groups and children across the city to fire their imaginations and take part.
Please email your entries to [email protected] by December 19 or send your story to Yorkshire Evening Post Christmas Story Comp, Yorkshire Evening Post, Hannah Start, No 1 Leeds, 26 Whitehall Road, Leeds, LS1 2 IBE.
Please include contact details for your parent or guardian and get their consent before entering. Usual Johnston Press competition rules apply.
