Nine people have died in hospitals in Leeds after testing positive for coronavirus, the latest figures have confirmed.

NHS England confirmed that one person died on Friday, October 23 and one person died on Sunday, October 25.

Four people died on Tuesday, October 27.

Three people died on Wednesday, October 28.

The death toll in Leeds is 413.

Across Yorkshire, 24 people have died.

Three people died in hospitals in Barnsley.

Two people died in hospitals in Bradford.

One person died in hospitals in Calderdale.

Five people died in hospitals in Doncaster.

Two people died in hospital in Sheffield.

The death toll in the region now stands at 3,365.

In England, a total of 163 people have died.

10 people have died in the East of England, 13 people have died in London, 26 have died in the Midlands, 23 people have died in the North East, 57 people have died in the North West, eight people have died in the South East and two people have died in the South West.

Patients were aged between 42 and 100 years old.
