I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beautiful wife Feziwe. She must have been a brave and strong woman to fight such an illness for so long. Most modern day footballers are not good role models and neither are footballers wives but you are both definately the exception. While they were out buying cars and worrying about their next haircut, you were fighting against racism and poverty. It was love and devotion that gave her the strength to fight the illness for 3 years so that she could spend every last second with you and your children. Cherish these moments and be strong for your children and know that all of our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family through this very hard time.

Dearest Lucas
The loss of your wife pierced through our hearts. I understand that right now things might not look like they will get better, I encourage you to put your faith in the Lord. When you are feeling sad, heartbroken or a deep sense of loss look within your heart there you will find that her footprints live within you! Our thoughts are with you and your family through and through. She will be greatly missed!!!
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say goodbye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Lucas,
You've faced and survived adversity many times in your personal and professional career, but this will be by far the hardest challenge to date. It was clear to all how much you loved and cherished Feziwe. As Leeds fans, our thoughts go out to you, the children and to Feziwe's family for such a sad loss.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Lucas at this sad time. He has always made Leeds United fans proud to be associated with such a caring, generous and dignified man. His beautiful wife was a great support to him as he developed as a wonderful role model, not only as a sportsman, but particularly against racism. I am sure that his young family will bring him much happiness in the future, but it is so sad that his children have lost such a caring mother. Lucas is held in the hearts of many Leeds United fans and now our hearts go out to him.
