I find it disgusting how the council are willing to fine Vicky £1000 per day if she doesnt cease trading. The red bus cafe has been open for over 20 years and never has any problem occur until the council interfere. I pass the cafe on my daily commute to work every day. It will be sad to see it go. I and many others hope the cafe will stay open and out of the harmful reach of Leeds City Council whom seem determined to erase any bit of history and tradition Leeds may have left. Best of luck to vicky and family.

Personally I feel really sorry for vicky but the end of the day i also feel sorry for the other bidders because at the end of the day it is down to the council not the bidders so i thinkpeople should not be saying boyctt them

I am disgusted the red bus is to go. It's a Leeds icon! Typical council BS. Things like this are precisely the reason I left.

Hello there , im just emailing you to say that i have just seen the report on the news about your cafe and i think that it is absolutely inconsiderate and diminishing of people like vicky who work hard, actually do some good, employ people and provide a service for the council to stop a business like this.
I thought councils were supposed to be supporting and promoting businesses like this?!?! this is the council gone wrong!
I would like to see if i could help out in any way financially, or with my business knowledge and add any ideas that may see this business to continue,
If you are interested in any way and would like me to see if i can help, please email me back, or ring me asap on 07854385447,
hope to hear form you soon,
Yours sincerely

HI THERE
ME AND MY WIFE AND OUR 8 YEAR OLD SON HAVE BEEN TRAVELING TO THE EAST COAST FOR YEARS NOW WITH OUR CARAVAN ..AND WOULD ALWAYS TRAVEL ON THE A64 EVEN THOUGH THE ROAD CAN BE A NIGHTMARE AT BANK HOLIDAYS AND OTHER BUSY TIMES . AND THE REASON FOR THAT IS ITS A TRADITION - IT MAKES THE START OF OUR CAMPING BREAKS.AND NOW TO TELL MY SON THAT THE BIG RED BUS IS GOING TO BE NO MORE BREAKS MY HEART ..THAT BIG BREAKFAST TO KEEPING US GOING ON OUR TRAVELS WILL BE SADLY MISSED..BUT THATS THE WAY THE BRITISH COUNCILS ARE GOING THESE DAYS.. MORE EMPHASIS ON WASTING MONEY THAN FINDING OUT WHAT THE PUBLIC ACTUALLY WANT - THANKS A LOT LEEDS COUNCIL,YOU REALLY DO NEED TO GET A GRIP

I must have passed the red bus a thousand times during my time in Leeds.
Were it a Labour (snouts in the trough) council I could have understood what was going on, but not this Lib/Con mix as well. Echoes of Westminster!!
I'm just glad I'm out of the city of my birth.
