We have got to stop employing managers just because they are cheap and available. In the Summer, whatever happens between now and then,we need to recruit a manager with a proven record at dealing with mediocre players and turning them very quickly into a highly effective team.Look at the job people like Gary Johnson (Bristol City) and John Ward (Carlisle) have done (and at their previous clubs too). They do not have better players than us,they just are a better manager. If we had got a good manager like them when relegated from the Premiership,we would not be languishing in League 1 now.
Peter.Maybe now the people claiming we were on a 5 game unbeaten run, rather than 2 wins against poor opposition and 3 lucky draws, again against poor opposition, will have had their eyes opened to see that we are, and have been since Gus Poyet left the club, an awful mess!!!
We let our best rising talent in Ben Parker go out on loan to be replaced by our right back - who cannot even get a game in his natural position! Albeit because Gary Mac opts to use another centre back there! Can't we get Parker back?!!
Thankfully, it looks like Kandol has finally been found out and that will hopefully make room for a prolonged for for Elding. And I'm not sure what's going on with Becks recently, maybe after all Dennis Wise's praise he thinks he's bigger than the club - that's certainly the way he appears during games, swaggering around like he owns the pitch! Get your head up and play like we know you can!!!

I travelled over 400 miles to/from Berkshire on an atrocious night, very cold, very wet to watch a team that were clueless. There is no direction on the field , the team are trying to play a passing game which is positive but not when it entails passing to each other across the half way line . The only time there seemed a threat to Cheltenham was when there was a good old fashioned punt upfield . Not fair to single out particular players as it's a team game , as a unit we did not play well but McAllister needs to seriously review some individuals performance. I believe the quality is there but the balance of the team didn't look right. Defence seems all of a sudden shaky, midfield misses Douglas badly and Kandol ( and to a degree Beckford )have lost all confidence.

I was absolutely gobsmacked by what I saw last night.
I disagree completely with Mr McAllister's comments that we 'lacked guile in final 3rd'. We lacked ANYTHING all over the pitch!
Why Frazer Richardson, a right back, is playing left back is beyond me, he is totally uncomfortable there. Hence the awful mistakes and decisions he continues to make. Why Kenton, a centre half, is playing right back is also beyond me. Both fullbacks had no midfield player in front of them, due to playing 3 central midfielders very narrow, so to his credit, Kenton kept pushing up into the gaping space in front of him. Problem was, that because he is a centre half playing right back, he lacked the technical ability to be able to pass straight when he found the space! Average teams are finding it easy to play against us, as they can see our fullbacks are exposed, so by making one simple long pass over our fullbacks, they can quickly turn defence into attack…
The team was clearly told to get the ball down and keep possession, but playing 3 badly hit passes across the back line, then all standing still and watching as the ball is hoofed hopefully up the pitch does not construe possession football – you must move and make runs and support the ball carrier in order for this to work. But Kandol and Beckford did not make a run all match. Why Marques was marking their big guy is also beyond me – he didn't win a header all night. Why didn't Michalik mark the big guy, with Marques sweeping up? We didn't make a single tackle all night, and stood and watched as they scored two, hit the bar and trod on the ball from a yard out. It's a good job he did! I hope Elding gets more games, he actually wanted the ball when he came on, and was prepared to make himself available for a pass, and even called for the ball once! Which was more than Kandol ever does. I am very concerned for the rest of the season.

Since Kandol has had that new contract, his workrate has been a disgrace, i wouldn't pay him in washers. We are a terrible team until that chairman is removed we are going nowhere. Stop taking the mick Bates we know you own the ground and while us saddos keep funding it for you you will stay . Get some real money men in, buy quality players , instead of this 3rd division dross that we are having to put up with. Why are clubs like Blackburn Wigan Fulham etc in the premier league? It is because of outside investment, we need that now, please go Bates.

Ok. A season ticket for far too long to remember, last nights performance in front of goal, both ours and theirs was disgracefull. Our strikers need to be reminded THEY ARE NOT BRAZILLIAN, they are not good enough to beat 2 or three men on a 'mazy' run and shoot, or indeed hit the target from 30 yards. The sooner they get this into their heads and realise that when there is someone in space, they are the better option. Casper also needs to remember that he is allowed to dive and get his body behid the ball and not bend down with an out-reached arm, he's as much to blame as Frazer for the first goal. Kilkenny needs to stop waving his arms and having a go at his team mates. Ironically, on one of the few times he passed the ball forward we actually scored. And as for the substitutions - Freedman for Howson, interested in the managers explanation of this one?

Well to be honest!
Overall yesterday I thought it was disappointing!
But we were on top for most of the game! It's hard to go all season without a poor performance and yesterday was our time for a bad performance.
The whole of the second half we were on top! And unlucky to create any clear cut chances.
Their second goal was quality!
It seemed to put a dint into our hopes of winning!
Bt although it was a poor performance overall! We deserved something from the game.
They came with a game plan, set their stall and played it very well.
Now is a massive time for the players, challenging for the play-offs.
It will be great o see the players character, and passion for the club and its success.

Why cant we get 2 wide players who can run at defenders ?? Throughout last nights game we played it down the middle and it was predictable boring and a complete waste of time. What is happening to the Mighty Leeds utd? We are not a big club anymore like we used to be that is true. but come on Cheltenham town????? do a double on leeds utd? please Gary Mac give seb sorsa and rui costa a go.. there both tricky pacy and im sure would do much better than the rubbish we have at the moment..WE NEED WIDE PLAYERS!!! I'M SORRY BUT I COULDN'T STAND ANOTHER SEASON IN THIS PIE AND PEA LEAGUE.
Come on the mighty whites
I wont ever stop believing in you
but don't do this for us do it for your self

Same problems for most of the season, lack of creativity from midfield, no width, if one striker doesn't score its difficult to see where the goals will come from. Tactically naïve, time after time teams come to Elland Road and play five across mid-field, our mid-field is not good enough to play five against four. I have not seen us close one game off this year by filling the mid-field and playing only one striker as
teams do to us. But finally lets be honest the players aren't good enough, the manager is new to this division, a Billy Davis type was needed to take us up. I feel we'll be in this division for years to come. Finally have you noticed the crowds are coming down I forcast an average of 15000 next year

Pityful, get rid of the traffic cone, doubt he'd get in Barnet's team, are we supposed to be pleased Freedman has done us a favour and come to Leeds? If so, please show us why asap.Or is he just another Div1/2 player joining the rest (Beckford excepted)

lets be brutally honest forget our reputation take away last minute goals early on in the season we are a mediocre club who are lucky to even be in with a shout of the play offs
last night was yet again another addition to a growing number of low points Frazier Richardson is fast becoming a player who once promised so much a liability
has for kandol how wise could give him a improved contract so early on in the season is beyond me he has done nothing since he has so many headed chances and wastes them time after time he has to be dropped last night he looked like a average non league player
marquis looks a spent force since the nations cup and has no understanding with ludo even casper who has been our man of the match so many times has lost his golden touch and is making far too many errors hardly surprising with that defence in front of him
there was no leadership on the pitch last night and has not been for a long time
on last nights performance the playoffs are a lifetime away even if we get our 15points back
on last nights evidence with this team we are stuck in this division for some years to come unless bates can find real money for real quality players and a manager with a proven track record no offence to gary mac but i am afraid this jobs to big for you
last one out turn the lights off

What's wrong with McAllister? A man with his experience, should know the need of wide players with an ounce of creativity in them, but still he packs the midfield with central midfielders. Amateurish!
And get Parker back NOW! He's the only decent left back we've had all season.
