Leeds nostalgia: Former lighthouseman marks his 102nd with gin and grandson

Walter Henry Warder, of Leeds, a former lighthousekeeper, who marked his 102nd birthday on July 13.

He lives at Avenue Hill, Harehills and was pictured in 1945 with his great grandson, Charles Edward Rees. Mr Warder swore by a tot of whiskey on a night. He was a lighthouseman for 40 years.
