Leeds has a great selection of Italian restaurants, so we asked the #Leedsrecommends for the best place to go for pasta.

Responses via Facebook include:

Rick Poppa. Has to be a decent Italian restaurant! Salvos in Headingley tops the lot... Bellisimo!

Melanie Malcolm. Best Lasagne from Sant Angelo in Wetherby. My favourite is the Lobster Linguine though, at Sant Angelo’s, Wetherby.

Catherine Spence. Buono.

Matthew Healy. Zucco in Meanwood!

Leanne Rose Glentworth. Jamie’s Italian. Wonderful pasta, beautiful restaurant and brilliantly priced.

James Jim Bob Sawyer. Da Mario’s on The Headrow. Great service, nice relaxed surroundings and most importantly.. excellent food!

Minoo Verdi. Flying Pizza.

Louise Walton. Da Mario’s.

Matthew Watson. Bibis and Salvo’s.

Samantha Render Bentley. Viva.

Jessica Alder. Rico’s in Oakwood. Traditional favourite and a hidden gem. Excellent fish dishes too.

Tom Parker. Livin’ Italy at Granary Wharf. Their lasagne is superb.

Isaac Mawling. Da Mario’s on the Headrow. Extensive pasta menu and really good choice.

Michael Ford. Gusto on Greek Street is a really classy place with an excellent selection of pasta dishes.

Sara McHail. La Besi in Woodhouse Moor, which is family-owned and has a really nice atmosphere. It’s a lot cheaper than many and you can bring your own booze.

Jonny Carran. The penne pulip at That’s Amore in Meanwood is a favourite of mine. Really good restaurant for all.

Robbie Dykes. Ciao! in Guiseley. The pasta dishes are all hand-made and they also sell Italian ingredients to take away.

Graham Ellis. La Cantina 44 at Crossgates. Very authentic and the ravioli is top class.

Gill Wardle. Tino’s in Pudsey. They have a huge selection of pasta dishes so you’re bound to find one you like.

Ryan Dare. Amici in Alwoodley. It’s a posh restaurant and the pasta is really good quality. Great wine too.

Alice Swinhow. Del Verde in Roundhay. Small, intimate restaurant with a pasta menu that’s small but perfectly formed.
