Where (and why) is the best place for tapas food in Leeds? The #leedsrecommends community tells Lucinda Abbott.

Matthew Watson. Pintura every time. Brilliant gin bar downstairs and the chorizo in cider is fantastic.

The Calls. Not your typical run of the mill tapas food, and superb selection of sherries - very well priced for such good quality tapas. The setting in a beautiful old industrial building makes it a wonderfully atmospheric place for a romantic meal too!

Wendy Keniwell. We visited Pintura on Trinity Street this week. Lovely food, and nice ambience. Would recommend.

Rick Poppa. Pintura at Trinity, awesome food, great staff and THE best gin bar in Leeds.

Chris Vessey. Ambiente is pretty good but Viva Cuba on Kirkstall Road is the KING of tapas! Victoria Gilbert.

Lyndsay Marshall. Viva Cuba is my favourite restaurant in Leeds! I think I’ve tried pretty much every item on the menu! It’s good value and delicious!

Mog Hoare. Ambiente is far and away the best of all.

far the best. Flavour, presentation and staff with great knowledge.
