EMMERDALE STARS Mathew Bose and Adele Silva joined over 2,500 people at Roundhay Park to help fight dementia at the Leeds Memory Walk.

The event on Saturday, September 6, is thought to have raised £60,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Adele said: “My nan had dementia so I know first hand the effect it can have on families. It has been wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate those they have loved and lost through dementia.”

Money raised from the Leeds Memory Walk will support people living with dementia and their carers and will fund help research into a cure.

Julie Britton and daughter Connie Seabourne were among those attending the event.
