A GLITTERING dancing competition in Wetherby has helped raise thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice.
The first ‘Strictly Get Dancing’ event at The Engine Shed raised £23,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
The sell-out event saw more than 450 people enjoy an evening of glitz and glamour as 15 couples battled it out the dancefloor.
Hair salon Westrow Wetherby helped style the 30 contestants and Emmerdale actor Chris Chittel and Calendar presenter Christine Talbot were on the judging panel at the event last month.
