Boss Stan Ternent is calling for his players to tuck away their chances ahead of tomorrow's important League One trip to Millwall.
Town are yet to win in the league and Saturday's disappointing 3-1 defeat to visiting MK Dons had Ternent pondering whether he would be better off on the golf course.
However, the Town manager was heartened by Huddersfield's general play in Wednes
day night's League Cup game against Sheffield United despite the agony of two late goals tipping the tie on its head. Michael Flynn's first-half opener was wiped out by 82nd and 83rd-minute goals by Darius Henderson and Kyle Naughton respectively.
Nathan Clarke had earlier put two headers wide from good positions while Gary Roberts and Luke Beckett both threatened to double the home side's advantage and a repeat performance will do Ternent at win-less Millwall – so long as Huddersfield are more clinical.
Second-bottom Town desperately need a victory at the New Den and could find themselves bottom should they fail.
Ternent said: "We have to be more clinical and have a little bit more quality on the end product and that kills the game.
"The only thing we didn't do on Wednesday) if I'm going to be critical, was get the second goal when we had the opportunities."
