Huddersfield Town brought in a number of new players last week and boss Stan Ternent is set to add yet more fresh talent in his bid to win promotion to the Championship next season.
With Ternent looking to bring in players on loan from Premier League clubs it is clear that his wheeling and dealing is not yet over this summer.
The Terriers boss has a huge amount of experience in football and it is hoped his contacts will help
to bring in some talented players who are not getting first-team opportunities at their current clubs.
Ternent, who was assistant manager at Derby until he joined Town in April, has already been linked with a number of loan signings, including Manchester United youth team player Tom Cleverley, but there has been no official statement from the club regarding their position with loan players.
The Town boss has also confirmed that new signing Chris Lucketti, who joined the club last week from Sheffield United, will captain Town next term.
The 36-year-old centre-back is in his second spell at the West Yorkshire club and it is hoped that he can add some much-needed solidity to the Terriers backline.
By signing Lucketti Ternent has ensured that there is competition for places in the defence next season.
He has joined the club along with Andy Butler from Scunthorpe, who turned down a new deal with the Iron in order to link up with the Terriers.
These two signings mean there are now five experienced central defenders in competition for the two starting places in Ternent's team.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield will kick off their pre-season campaign against Bury at Gigg Lane next Saturday (3pm).
The Shakers promise to be tough opposition for the League One club having knocked Leeds United out of the Johnstone Paint Trophy last season.
Town will then travel to non-league AFC Emley on July 22 (7pm) before coming up against Championship side Sheffield United at the Galpharm on August 2 (noon).
But the pre-season match that many Town fans are looking forward to the most is against Premiership giants Arsenal at the Galpharm on August 6 (7pm).
The Gunners clash comes just three days before the start of the League One season, when the Terriers will entertain newly-promoted Stockport County.
