He's only 19 but already left-back Joe Skarz has 11 years experience of Huddersfield Town.
It's no wonder his childhood love for Blackburn has faded – Skarz's blood is now Terriers blue and white through and through.
He joined the club aged just eight and 11 years on he is now cementing his place as a first-team regular in Stan Ternent'
s side.
A whole spate of summer signings have arrived at the Galpharm making competition for places rife but hot talent Skarz was given his chance against Northampton and the defender hasn't looked back.
In days past, the latest at Ewood Park was the first thing on Skarz's mind and the result of his beloved Blackburn was the first thing he looked for.
However, a decade on, Skarz's first love these days is the team he proudly plays for.
"Huddersfield means a lot to me," said the defender.
"It's my first club and it means a lot playing in front of the fans at the Galpharm every other weekend.
"I'm really pleased to be in the team.
"I didn't support Huddersfield when I first started – I supported Blackburn but gradually I became a Huddersfield fan and then when I got picked I became a bigger fan.
"I still look for Blackburn's results and I played against them in the last pre-season and I enjoyed that.
"But now I just concentrate on Huddersfield.
"I joined Huddersfield when I was eight years old and worked my way up through the academy.
"then I got an apprenticeship for two years and turned pro last January.
"I'm pleased that I've come through and hopefully I can keep playing well for the first team."
Skarz can ill afford to have a shocker with hugely-experienced Dave Unsworth one of the players competing for the left back slot.
However, Skarz is no newcomer to the first team having already gained nearly 50 appearances for the senior side since his debut at home to Leyton Orient, aged just 16, in May 2007.
Skarz desperately hopes to hold down a regular first-team spot, but he is enjoying the competition and admits that he is learning a lot from players such as Unsworth.
He said: "I've been involved with the first team for two seasons now with three different managers and we've got a lot of experienced players who have played in the Championship and the Premiership.
"That can only be good for young players like myself and James Berrett.
"Unsworth is a left back and he's been teaching me a few things. it's good to learn off these players.
"This season's been good.
