Philippines born Marie-Faye, aged 20, who lives in Cleckheaton, has been on The Voice, The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

Marie-Faye told us: "Born in the Philippines, I was raised in England and now live in Cleckheaton. I work as a bank staff health care assistant at Leonard Cheshire Disability Home during my days off while studying a degree of Adult Nursing at the University of Huddersfield during the week, where I have also performed on a couple of occasions such as the International Food and Culture Festival and the International Christmas Event.

"I have always loved performing. I feel more confident when singing in front of an audience, whether it be big or small than doing a presentation in a lecture theatre in front of my peers.

" I was a contestant on The Voice, The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. The experience was amazing. I now only perform at charity events and family special occasions, such as christenings and weddings and Christmas parties. My dreams have always been to be a singer.”

THE COMPETITION

We now have eight musical performers in the live final this Saturday, January 28, each hoping to win a £2,500 cash prize plus casino bookings as well as an exciting contract with industry leading music and entertainment agency, Champions, that could see their entertainment career soar.

Excite and Entertain Leeds 2017 is also looking for a top new design talent and we have four finalists - two artists and two photographers.

First prize in the design category is also £2,500 cash, with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their winning artwork on a billboard in Leeds city centre.

We are giving you, our readers, a chance to vote - by email - to help our judges pick the winners.

Voting is easy, using the email vote link on the profile page of each of our finalists.

Only one vote per category, per email account allowed - duplicate votes will not be counted. Deadline for votes will be five minutes after at the last finalist has performed in live grand final, on Saturday, January 28. Votes after this time will not be considered. The competition is due to finish around 3pm.

Readers votes will then be taken into consideration to help our judges make their final decisions.
