Grosvenor Casino Leeds Westgate, to promote it's £3m revamp, has teamed up with the Yorkshire Evening Post to discover new top talent.

Anna, aged 36, of Hull, is thrilled to have her work featured in the final of Excite and Entertain Leeds, being judged at White Rose Shopping Centre, in Dewsbury Road, Leeds, this Saturday - January 28 - from 11am. Come cheer her on. We hope to crown our winners before 4pm.

Anna said: "I produce ‘Fluid Art’ on canvas. My work aims to be original, decorative and stimulating. I have been working on this technique and creating these paintings for the last year. I have sold some I am continuing to refine and experiment with my techniques.

"Previously I worked in financial services with my last role being a Business Risk Manager for St James’s Place Wealth Management in London"I then had my own Onevine Painting and Decorating business, including renovations, but decided on a career change to have a better quality of life and I' ve been an artist now since 2015."

THE COMPETITION

Excite and Entertain Leeds 2017 is looking for creative talent and in the design category we have four finalists - two photographers and two artists.

First prize is £2,500 cash, with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their winning artwork on a billboard in Leeds city centre.

We also have seven musical performers, each also hoping to win a £2,500 cash prize in their category, along with casino bookings as well as an exciting contract with industry leading music and entertainment agency, Champions, that could see their entertainment career soar.

VOTING RULES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We are giving you, our readers, a chance to vote - by email - to help our judges pick the winners.

Voting is easy, using the email vote link on the profile page of each of our finalists.

Only one vote per category, per email account allowed - duplicate votes will not be counted. Deadline for votes will be five minutes after at the last finalist has performed in live grand final, on Saturday, January 28. Votes after this time will not be considered. The competition is due to finish around 3pm.

Readers votes will then be taken into consideration to help our judges make their final decisions.
