Morley Cider Festival: Truth Hurts Brewery & Tap to host festival in Leeds town with over 20 'banging' ciders

A community-focused brewery in Morley is set to host its first cider festival to bring the town together.

Truth Hurts Brewery & Tap will host the three day festival from Friday April 26 to 28 at its site on South Parade.

A pop-up bar will be erected outside and there will be over 20 “banging” ciders from a range of breweries based across the UK. There will also be live music and street food stalls to enjoy.

Manager Laura Cooper assured that there will be alternate options for those who aren’t crazy about cider.

She said: “We do know that cider isn’t everyone’s thing so we also have craft beer, wine, gin & Prosecco on offer too.

“There’ll be an outdoor & indoor bar and just an all round good vibe. We want to show the Leeds community what we offer.”

She said that she wants to use the event as a chance for people in the community to connect with one another.

She said: “We are a community brewery in that we only brew to Morley and put community at the heart of everything we do.

“The real selling point of the event is that it will be family friendly and dog friendly. The brewery has become known as somewhere that you can go and feel at home and that’s what this event is all about.”

She continued: “It’s a difficult industry to be in right now with breweries closing left, right and centre but we are pushing through because we love what we do and believe in what we’re doing.”
