Rock band You Me at Six proved a big hit with fans at their in-store performance at the HMV store in Leeds.

The five-piece, from Weybridge, Surrey, played a short set and signed copies of their new album Cavalier Youth, which is tipped to enter the charts at Number One on Sunday.

Cavalier Youth is You Me At Six’s fourth album in a ten-year career. Its predecessor, Sinners Never Sleep, reached Number Three.

The band’s bass player Matt Barnes told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “With Cavalier Youth, we pushed ourselves harder than we ever have before.

“We worked with a guy called Neil Avron, who really pushed us, and really made us think about how to play our parts, and working out where things would go.

“We had some things that we thought sounded good, but Neal said take those parts out, they don’t add anything to the song.”

Rag N Bone Man.
