INFLUENTIAL 1980s rock stars the Pet Shop Boys will play a Yorkshire date on a UK tour next winter, they announced today.
The electronic duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, who are appearing this week in four sold-out shows at London’s Royal Opera House, will play the First Direct Arena in Leeds on February 18.
It will be the only Yorkshire date on a tour which also takes in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Portsmouth.
They will perform songs from their new album ‘Super’, as well as classics from more than 30 years together.
The band’s hits include West End Girls, Go West and What Have I Done To Deserve This. They also produced Losing My Mind for Liza Minnelli, among many others.
Tickets go on sale this Friday.
