Have your say

Formed in 2011, Apollo Junction are Leeds band with a big sound – and ambitions to match.

Comprising Jamie Williamson on vocals, Matt Wilson on guitar, Johnny Thornton on drums, Ben Hope on bass and Sam Potter on keyboards, they spent six months perfecting their electro rock approach.

Explained Wilson: “We had to create a wall of noise that blew people away.”

Their first EP, Begin, was released independently and they followed it up with the tracks Here Come The Zombies and Such a Carry On.

Recently they’ve been working on an album with an electro swing producer and, they say, “the next batch of songs really do blow the older ones out of the water – in our opinions”.

They’re also in talks with a publisher.

Apollo Junction play at the 360 Club at The Library, Leeds on Friday, March 16 and at The Cockpit on Saturday, April 5. See www.facebook.com/360Club and www.thecockpit.co.uk for further details.
