CHART stars Daughter, two times Mercury nominee Jon Hopkins and veteran post-punk band The Fall are among the first acts named to play at this year’s Beacons Festival.

Leeds groups Nightmares on Wax, Hookworms and Eagulls will also perform at the event to be staged at the Funkirk Estate in Skipton between August 7 and 10.

Other attractions include New York “opulent disco/astral fun” duo Darkside, East India Youth, Toy, King Creosote and Money.

There will also be DJ sets from Dixon, Daniel Avery and Roman Flugel, among others.

Organiser Ash Kollakowski said: “Keeping Beacons going after the flood in 2011 has been really hard, but when Wild Beasts headlined in 2012 the stars realigned and it was totally worth it. Now I don’t think about booking acts just to sell tickets. With Dixon, Jon Hopkins and Daniel Avery on site over the weekend we genuinely feel we have the 3 best producers in the world at the moment so we are well chuffed.”

Adult tickets for the weekend are priced from £81.95. For further details visit www.greetingsfrombeacons.com
