FORMER White Stripes singer and guitarist Jack White has announced a show at Leeds arena.

The 38-year-old musician – ranked Number 17 among Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists – will perform at the £60m First Direct Arena on November 17.

The announcement coincides with the release of Lazaretto, White’s second solo album, which is released on XL Records today.

The Leeds show is one of just three UK dates which are part of a European tour.

White last performed in the city, at the O2 Academy Leeds, in 2009 with his then supergroup The Dead Weather.

Tickets for the First Direct Arena show go on general sale on Friday June 13. For details visit
