Singer songwriter Ben Howard has announced he will perform at Leeds’ First Direct Arena next year during his biggest UK tour to date.
The star will bring his arena tour to Leeds on April 23 2015 following the release of his critically-acclaimed second album ‘I Forget Where We Were’ which debuted at number 1 in the UK charts.
Since performing at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club in 2011 and O2 Academy in 2012, the singer’s success has continued to soar and 2013 saw him scoop both the Best Breakthrough Act and British Solo Male at the 2013 Brit Awards.
Speaking on the announcement, Tony Watson, director of sales and marketing for the First Direct Arena said: “I was lucky enough to witness Ben’s pyramid stage set last year at Glastonbury, and it was sublime. I can’t wait to hear something similar in Leeds, backed up by the venues outstanding acoustic characteristics. It’ll be a night to remember.”
