Sell-out Leeds film Bremner set for new four-night run next week

Have your say

Leeds film Boy Called Bremner, which was screened at the Vue cinema, Kirkstall earlier this week, was so popular, cinema bosses have booked it for another four nights, starting on Friday October 17.

Loiner Jason Lumsden, who wrote the film as a hobby over 14 years, said he was delighted with the news, adding: “It was a sell-out at the Vue, so much so they were turning people away. Now we have another four-night run, I’m suited.”

The film tells the story of Bremner (played by Jason’s son, Sonny), a Leeds teen with a passion for boxing who is struggling to escape his inner-city roots and features the last performance of the late Graham Walker (pictured below with Jason in 2012), better known as one of The Grumbleweeds.
