It has been a busy weekend and a busy week for us at Leeds First Direct Arena.

Friday and Saturday saw over 22,000 people enjoying two sold out nights of the comedy genius that is Lee Evans.

Superb feedback was received by all and it was a genuinely great two nights. We’ve been working behind the scenes on a couple of exciting announcements and the first was Dynamo, the magician impossible himself, who’ll be visiting the First Direct arena for five nights in December 2015.

Expect a spectacular and imaginative stage show the likes of which hasn’t been seen before in a UK Arena.

Then on Monday, we turned from magic to music as we announced chart topping singer songwriter Ben Howard will be visiting the arena in April.

Anyone who has heard his music, or seen him live will know this isn’t a show to miss.

Monday evening saw the Big Reunion Boyband Tour at the arena. There were screaming ladies aplenty as Blue, 3T, 911 and many others took to the stage for a big of nostalgic 90s boyband fun.

We’re all working now to turn the arena around ready for Il Divo who’ll be arriving in town on Friday evening for a spectacular night of classical music and show tunes.

Then, it’s all about the week after with more exciting announcements to come…

Magic fans will be mystified by West Yorkshire-born illusionist Dynamo at Leeds Arena next year.

Dynamo, whose real name is Steven Frayne, will finish his smash hit tour in his home county as he takes to the First Direct sponsored stage from December 16 to 20, 2015.

Tickets are priced from £32.50 and can be purchased from.firstdirectarena.com, by phone on 0844 248 1585, or book your tickets from the first direct arena box office, now located at the venue, from 9am on Friday October 31.

WWE have announced that its unique brand of action packed entertainment is to return to the UK in November 2014.

Fans will be able to see all their favourite WWE duperstars and divas all under one roof, including John Cena, Money In The Bank, Big Show, Rusev, Bray Wyatt & The Wyatt Family and many more.

Jack White will appear on November 17. It is his first headline date in support of his new album Lazaretto, out now on Third Man Records/XL Recordings. The shows will be Jack’s first since his ambitious 2012 world tour supporting the gold-certified, multiple-GRAMMY-nominated, international #1 Blunderbuss.
