These dancers are backing Leeds lad Billy George to leap to the top of the podium in Saturday’s final of BBC1 show Tumble.

Pupils at Armley Dance Studios, pictured, which is run by Billy’s mum June Wilkinson, will be voting for the talented acrobat and his partner former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh in a bid to see them crowned winners of the gymnastics contest.

Billy, who is one of the UK’s best Cyr wheel performers, took his first steps at the Leeds dance school, which was opened by his grandmother Brenda Wilkinson more than 60 years ago.

June said: “We are all really proud of him because it has taken a lot of years of training in dance, performance and gymnastics to get to this point.”

Billy, 23, attended Intake High School in Bramley and has performed across the globe for star-studded audiences including the Beckhams.

He also reached the 2012 semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with his gravity-defying act.
