Its founder Richard Watson has been involved in IVW since its inception, having been recommended by BBC Introducing for regularly promoting new music.

“I seemed to fit their ideal target of a venue, especially when they found out I tend to work exclusively with local emerging new music and new acts and behind the scenes advising them, so that’s how it came about,” he explains.

This year he’ll be staging two IVW events.

On Friday January 29 the bill features Happy Daggers, Marsicans, The Seagulls and Meihaus.

On Saturday January 30 it’s the turn of Fold, Ceiling Demons, Rawshac and Terra-ist.

Tickets are available in advance from Jumbo and Crash Records.
