I worked in lewis's for 20 years and these same images were also seen at 11'oclock every morning at tea break when the kettle was switched on. Its amazing that the same kettle is still workin.

My work mate, who has also been working in the Lewis Building on the Headrow, took the attached photos. A few weeks ago, we noticed that the two of the photos had images on that couldn't be explained easily and joked that there must be ghosts in the Headrow.

After seeing the photo in the article on the YEP website, we looked back at other photo's taken we found another two photos both of which are also attached. Two of the photos have 'whispy' images, and two have appear to have a large white figure at the back of the picture.

Although the photos are not as clear as the one on the YEP website, it is strange that myself and my work-mate had also noticed unexplainable images within photos.

not meaning to put this man down, but the ''ghost'' isnt a ghost what so-ever, its more like ciggarette smoke, smoke takes many shapes as it passes through the air, and many times ive seen photos in which smoke has taken human shapes.

That doesn't even look like a ghost. It looks like someone has blown a smoke ring from a cigarette & took a photo of it.

Here is a picture of a ghost in York by the Minster it looks like an old lady it's on the left hand side behind the fence.
This picture was taken in November last year.
The full original picture was of my Niece and when we looked there was a ghost so I zoomed into the picture and here it is.
We went back a week later to the same place and it was gone.

I am currently one of the managers at the lewis's site and have worked many nights at the building ,some works alone in the basement. It is cold because the basement is two floors below street level and open to the winter elements and takes longer to heat than the upper floors as the sun doesn't heat below ground floor. The basemet is also very smokey and dusty as there is lots of demolishion work going on lots of fuel machinery operating in the area where the photo was taken hence the swirls. I don't want to put the photo down the marlborough labourer took but I've been there for nearly two years and the basement is like any other room in a building.

this picture was taken at Helme Church Gate in Holmfirth Wst Yorkshire on a cold but clear moonlit night in November.
There was no fog, mist or anyone smoking near to where the photo was taken.
I can see clearly the image of a little girl in the left side of the gate ( victorian dress ) there are also a couple of other figures within the picture.
Please let me know what you can see.

I don't SEE HOW this photo could be smoke,there's DEFINATELY a structured face there with strange looking eyes a nose and mouth with a hood around the face and below it shoulders and it looks like the figure is wearing an open jacket if this photo was taken at what used to be an department store,then to me it looks like what could be a woman customer who used to shop there.(on closer inspection it certainly looks like a woman)this is one exceptionally good ghost photo and it is definately not smoke/light(because smoke and light don't form DEFINATE human faces and clothing Details!!!

This strange image was captured using a polaroid instant camera, the photo was taken in June 1992 in Salem Virginia. The image is to the left of the photograph. Many people have remarked an uncanny resemblance to Charles Manson.
The property where the house stands is reputedly haunted, residents who lived in the house have reported sounds of horses galloping down the driveway, sounds of furniture being moved across the floor and strange lights floating about the property. My great grandparents had the house built in the early 20th century and they use to talk about seeing a woman dressed all in white walking along the pathway towards the house. One particular evening both my grandfather and my great-grandfather saw this strange "woman in white" leaving the house and when they inquired to my great-grandmother who her guest was she informed them she had been alone all evening! The day the photograph was taken it was a warm summer afternoon about two weeks after my grandfather killed himself, he was 82 years old. Of the four people present at the house "we" all to some degree or another experienced headaches, feelings of suffocation, and general discomfort I personally felt like I was being watched by something unseen! My grandfather collected and tinkered with old radio's which he had strewn about one of the upstairs rooms when we tried to turn one of the radio's on there was nothing but static and suddenly a voice came over the airwave's that of a man that said "We are not alone".

Even though I'am not located in Leed's I thought your readers might enjoy a look at my photograph.
